Cedar Shoe Trees
Extend the life of your finest shoes with these cedar shoe trees, an essential accessory for any lover of well-maintained footwear. Inserted into the shoe after wearing, they maintain the shape of the leather, prevent the appearance of creases and false folds, and stop the upper from deforming over time. The naturally absorbent cedar wood captures moisture accumulated during the day and speeds up drying, while releasing its characteristic woody scent that neutralizes unpleasant odors. A simple step that sustainably preserves the look and comfort of your shoes, making all the difference in the longevity of a beautiful pair.

Cedar Shoe Trees - 35
Insert the shoe trees into your shoes as soon as you take them off, while the leather is still warm and supple: this is when they are most effective at restoring shape and smoothing out creases. First position the front into the toe of the shoe, then lower the heel until the tension is firm but without forcing. Leave them in place between wears, ideally for at least 24 hours, to allow the leather to dry and relax. To preserve the absorbent power and scent of the cedar, lightly sand the wood surface once or twice a year with fine sandpaper.
These shoe trees are suitable for all your leather dress shoes: oxfords, derbies, loafers, ankle boots, and boots. They are especially recommended for quality shoes that you want to keep for many years. Be sure to choose a size that matches your shoe size for optimal support without overstretching. They can also be used in some softer leather shoes but are not recommended for canvas shoes, fine synthetic materials, or sports shoes, which do not benefit from them.
For optimal results, ideally plan one pair of shoe trees per pair of regularly worn shoes: it is just after wearing that the leather, still warm and moist, best regains its shape. Never force insertion: too much tension can eventually stretch the leather rather than preserve it. And if you notice the woody scent fading, a light sanding is enough to revive the cedar and restore all its properties, year after year.
